Time train to the blitz, by Sophie McKenzie, is an action packed novel that all
begins when two children are mysteriously whisked away on a train. The train
soon came to a stop as it leaves them in the gloom of an underground station
before disappearing into the distance. With the information the train gave
them, their mission is to try and rescue Alfie and his Grandma. As the sirens
wail and the planes screech, they find themselves in even worse danger but
will they make it back home in time for tea?
I would recommend this book to someone who is a moderately good reader as
it’s not too long or difficult to understand .I enjoyed reading the book as it was
a very enjoyable and gripped you from beginning to end. The book gives you
an insight on what it was like to live during the Blitz in 1941.
